Established in 2006, kapok began as a lifestyle shop offering a variety of lifestyle products sourced internationally, with a focus on quality and creativity.
The name kapok derives from the majestic emergent trees of the same name. The trees grow tall in their ecosystem, branching out to provide a home for plants and animals dependent on nourishment and exposure. kapok also provides a unique roof under which people in the community can meet and find inspiring quality goods. Creativity and craftsmanship are what define our product selection. We have been focusing our attention on brands such as Our Legacy, Common Projects, Commune de Paris for fashion and Mizensir, Astier de Villatte, Heeley for home-ware and fragrances, and Mismo from Denmark.
After a few years of focusing on menswear, we have recently turned our attention to emerging womenswear brands. Marais USA is one of our success stories : a classic, chic and playful shoe collection from New York. And we are also very proud to present Daydream Nation, a whimsical and inspiring brand from Hong Kong and the UK.
